+1. I never use my N Number at non towered airports. Nobody can see it anyways.

When I landed I saw the red & white Skylane. It had a large N number on the side. I guess that was just decorative. :tape: Colors are descriptive and create an image in your mind allowing you to keep track of multiple planes at a busy uncontrolled field. Its also in the AIM.

I don't even say Bonanza, I just say white V-tail.

Yup... when the police send out a BOLO, they give the subject car's physical description, not the VIN. Having said that... there are some airports, such as Leesburg, VA (JYO) where the rules have you announce your full N number each time. But that's to keep the Forces of Darkness happy, not for other pilots' situational awareness.
