Yup. It was likely a C-17 on a X-C from Alaska. They use the Denali callsign for the 517th out of Elmendorf.
It will be interesting to see how quickly Cessna gets the Catalyst ATP bolted onto Denali airframes and in the air after testing the GE engine. Supposedly they now have over 2000 hours on an engine with no unexpected problems. ...wonder how P&W feels about this?

The other day I heard “Bishop Traffic, red & white Skylane downwind runway XX, Bishop”. And several more “red & white Skylane” radio calls. I’ve been flying since 1982 and never heard that before. When I landed I saw the red & white Skylane. It had a large N number on the side. I guess that was just decorative.
