It's helped my employees to get more on top of our industry.

Thanks John. I was perfectly happy with my MU2 till I realized how small the fuel delta actually is on the cj2. Now I have wasted a bunch of time looking at them at trying to figure out how I could make the math work in a few years.

Anthony, in my long range comparison list, jets come last in every category except short travel time. And even so, only the CJ. Turboprops are still a lot more efficient in all categories.

Luckily for me, the industry keeps producing small jets and that capital cost keeps lowering. I just have to keep figuring out how to make more money and eventually those curves will intersect.

I tell my board all the time, don’t sweat me not working or taking it easy. Jets are $$$.

John,

Congratulations on the new plane! Now that you have even more capability will you always be the pilot or have others fly sometimes so that employees can move around the country faster without requiring you to be there?

I find that we can get to prospective opportunities very quickly with the plane which is the key not the cost. I can justify the expense of plane and pilot for trips with one or two employees on a cost trading basis some of the time. But when factoring in the opportunity the cost shrinks enormously. The problem is, that even though I'd love to be the company's pilot other time demands make that impossible. Love to hear your experience.
