If yes, who owned it there? The guy I sold it to was based at HPN - he flew it 15-20 hours and then sold it to Gary. The guy was not flying it since he spent most of his time in Europe.

I second what Alex said. he built a fantastic plane and knows the 340 inside and out- I am the recipient of a solid airframe with a good pedigree. they are soooooo complex to maintain, but few other platforms will do what this does for the same capital- so yes, it's worth it. (the next step up is at least 2-3x the capital to buy). Alex! 340AJ is currently down for what appears to be a bearing that came apart in the right engine- having the engine torn down currently. -but- cannot wait to get in the air again. I LOVE her. here is one of my favorite views:

My money's going to family lawyers Just surprised at what's a handsome 340 that isn't moving under $100k and kinda curious what it "should" bring I think they are one of the most underappreciated planes out there. The ramp appeal is great, and they handle really well. I have gotten to the point where I would put mine anywhere that a Bonanza would go with no issues, and spending 5 hours in it is not tiring in the least.
Fan of the 340 myself

If I could only find a way to put Allison 250s on it, in lieu of the TSIO520. That would make it the last bird I'd ever own. I am a huge fan of Continental, but there's no comparison to turbines!

And how many passengers does your RV8 hold with full fuel? edit: I did a weight and balance calculation for demonstration purposes. With two 175 lb. people in the front and two 150 lb. people in the back, and 80 lbs. of baggage, I can takeoff with 180 gallons of fuel on board ( 200gallons is max). With a block fuel burn of 32gph at 190knots, that gives me 4.5 hours (855nm) of range with over an hour of reserve. Shave 120 lbs off of people and bags, and I can get full fuel range of over 1,000nm. Not too shabby on an old bird with STOL capabilities.

LOL. Better not look at payload on a new King Air 250, it wont even carry a passenger with full fuel.
