He wants the balance to be near perfect for testing purposes to eliminate questions about whatever data is produced during the flight or flights should he get to make more than one. He said in the video real world such things would not be needed but for testing going to these extremes are worth the effort. Are they? I have no idea. I have never built an airplane or been a test pilot. He's not explaining anything to the educated people watching. He's justifying his decisions. 37 pounds extra on one gear leg won't cause what he thinks is "torsional roll". Every time you burn fuel, fly solo, or carry passengers, lateral and longitudinal weight changes. I know he has weighed it, but did he ever determine where the CG was? He's trying to look through the forrest to see the ocean.

Better him than some other poor soul. He is about to learn a hard lesson on why you pay a test pilot. It says it all when the idiot wears a flight suit. But, doesn’t wear a helmet during testing.

Would not “torsional roll”, by definition, be caused by torque, not uneven weight? with the addition of enough weight, the tires will remain in contact with the runway, and that contact with the runway can counter-act the engine torque.
