This particular one has an old universal FMS but just put a deposit on dual 750s/garmin radar/etc.

That 650 will easily get ahead of you coming downhill.

Who holds the STC? All 650’s?

Columbia has the STC, only the III and VI can get the 750s; the VII is too integrated. Coupled LPV only works with the analogue ADI/HSI not eh EFIS versions. No G700 option...yet. Real range is about 1800nm.
So far, all the rumors about these airplanes has been untrue. It's reliable and easy to work on. Superb aerodynamics and engineering. My favorite version is no APU with freon. Lightest and the fastest.
I think I've found the disposable midsize jet version of the 501.

You going to go ahead and build a dedicated shop for them?

For guys who have spouses who can serve as a required crew member. The new John and Martha King Falcon 10.

And we are off to the races….. not for insurance and domestic only. What is the minimum requirement for SIC who doesn’t care about logging time, if that makes a difference.

It ain't much: https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/14/61.55PP-AMEL-IA plus some minor familiarization stuff in 61.55(b). No type rating required if flown in US airspace. Outside that, then they need to be typed. I have two regular SICs, one who is typed, and one who wasn't, but I signed off the one who wasn't for an SIC type rating (which any typed pilot can do). They aren't paid, they come along if they want to, and they amuse themselves on their own dime at the destination. They often come on day business trips, and sometimes on longer trips if the destination is interesting to them (like, say, Vegas). I have an SPE so I can fly single pilot if I need to, and about a third of my flights are single pilot. If I had a 650, I'd no longer have the option to fly single pilot, so I would need someone for every flight. That is what I call "chartering the human". 650 looks like a really nice traveling airplane. The TFE731 are great engines from what I hear. But it is out of my league and the lack of single pilot makes logistics much harder. Mike C.
