Any Chance we could get some rough dollar amounts for this project?
Also- It looks like you can get land at St. Barts BUT can you get out? I believe departure, over the water, should not be too tough.
Spike- Still need enough runway to get airborne with enough fuel. I was curious of the performance of the 414. St. Barts get pretty hot.

That is a textbook perfect approach and landing for St-Bart's. Hard to practice this however and if you don't nail the landing, you are off into the sand at the end.
I've been a passenger twice on landings into St-Bart's, once in a stock C172N and once in a Horton STOL C210N. The C172N surprisingly ate up the whole runway upon landing, so it's heavily technique-defendant in what is the world's most difficult public runway.

Watch how RSTOL flaps work on a Twin Cessna:
http://youtu.be/R4oTgTRrZRg
Theses flaps shave 400 foot from the landing distance of a Cessna 414 and even more off the take-off:

I'd like to see how this guy takes off from St-Bart's, my guess is minimum fuel and he's skimming the beach. Zero engine out margin that's for sure.

I'll give Christophe 5 years before he's there and then he has to buy all those fancy avionics all over again... He can upgrade to a King Air B200 with G1000 and winglets. Here is one taking off at St-Barthélemy TFFJ: http://youtu.be/9nbD8hOB1QA-Pascal

In an MU2? In my sleep. In a 414? Uh-uh. Nope. That guy's got better chops (and bigger balls) than me, lol. That was one hell of an approach.
