No, this is tailwheel_airplane_match.com

Michael will still fit in the Citabria/Decathlon easily. Although my 36" inseam was getting tight up front, but still easy to call comfortable.

I had a citabria years ago that I played around in. Read the Duane Cole book and did some basic acro. What was the most fun was giving rides to people. Backcountry and acro then I would go with the citabria. I am not that interest in acro so my focus would be on backcountry. Two different machines but both are on my list. The Aircam really catches my interest but I have never flown one, only seen demonstrations. Best for warmer climates or warmer weather. I also like the Katama 182s. Not tailwheel but it has some fantastic backcountry traits and can still cruise at a good speed. Great minds think alike. My minds drifts off to that part of the controller ads! http://www.aircam.com/

Something like this...cheap fun, simple aerobatics....probably fly it a couple of years and not lose (sorry, here we say loose) a dime. http://www.controller.com/listings/airc ... abria-7ecaJeff Edit: I see this one is in Alaska....but something like it, maybe closer to home.

Rick:
I love that! Makes me a bit jealous for that engine!!!
Michael - I went through this a while ago, and settled on the 7GCBC. Stalls at about 33 MPH full flaps and I was over the numbers of the runway at 1,000 ft and turned off the runway 4000 feet down it. Pretty neat.
It's in for some avionics upgrades right now, because you know - well - me. It is IFR certified, and will soon have dual Aspen Pros, GTN750, JPI-900, and a GTX345R. I decided to invest in the avionics after the whole iCON debacle. (just got a new contract though - gonna post it in a few)

How do you get 230 hp in a Citabria? Username Protected wrote: I'm a huge fan of the citabria/decathlon/scout. My dad had many as I was growing up. Don't be scared of the wood spars. Sitting on a sandbar in the middle of the Mississippi River Yap. Diddo.... 232 to be exact. It's got more then a scout Denali on a 7GCBC frame. The only downside is 36 gals. of fuel which limits my legs. But you can never have to much HP..

I haven't owned a cub, but flown a few of them. Good at what they do. I've owned a Super D, and currently have a Husky.
I'm not as tall as (5'-10") but from a seated headroom perspective I think you'll not be bumping your head in any of these, but getting in and out of the cockpits are things I think you'll want to actually try in person. Of the three, I think the Husky is the most challenging to get in and out of, and the bigger you are, the more cumbersome it becomes. However, the Husky also has good amenities for utility with easy access to the rear storage area and ease of access to the engine.
When it comes to fit and finish and overall refinement, I think the Husky wins, but it should as its the latest design and they're not that old.
If Acro is a must have capability, you only have one choice, and that's something from American Champion. These airplanes are all pretty similar in layout and function. Just different wing and engine combos. I liked my Super D. Can you do back country light in it? Yes! You're just not going to win the short landing and takeoff contests without flaps. Plus, the gear and wheel pants weren't intended for sand bar landings. I especially liked how the ease of getting in and out of the cockpit is on the AC airplanes.
Go fly each, and you'll come to a conclusion on what suits you best.
Enjoy the hunt!
