One of the great benefits of the PC12 and for that matter all turbine singles is fuel burn, understanding that the annual maintenance expense doesn't go up proportionally with usage and it all starts to make sense. You are absolutely correct. But, the flip side of this is you have to fly a lot of hours per year to make the high fixed costs balance out.

Steve, mate, that's a damn horse!!!!
Hey he's sensitive, he thinks he’s lap dog.
He weighs in at 140lbs and chases coyotes like other dogs chase rabbits!
His job is to protect my wife’s purse dog and be my copilot.
He excels at both.
Hard to beat a good dog!

That's an awesome pic.

Very worst case scenario calc: 7000lbs empty weight 1000lbs human 700mi is around 3 hours, call it 1900lbs in fuel, with reasonable reserves. In an NG, leaves almost 1000lbs for bags (10450lbs MTOW), and legacy (9921lbs MTOW) (which won't be anywhere near 7000lbs empty weight, they are more like 6600-6700) still 400lbs+++.

My full fuel payload is 1200#. With full fuel (2700#s) the no wind range is around 1500nm with :45 reserves at max cruise power.
