I have recently got back into flying a Cessna 421B. I flew one as a Corporate job about 12 years ago. It has been nice flying the old girl again.
But 12 years later the vendors for various parts, insurance etc world is a bit different. There are not a lot of commercial operators anymore for them but individual owners still seem out there. Parts are around but from unconventional sources, Ebay, back hangars stashes etc.
I have two on the field here now. One as a project (Robertson 1971 421B ) but it needs rear wing spars due to corrosion and the other is currently flying (Late 1974 with known ice).
If you're still flying one of the grand old birds share some info or photos.

I was asked to mfg per sample a lower cabin door seal non psi seal The 2700.00 , just doesn't seem correct to the owner for a simple extrusion

Guy do you make any other products for the 421 or twin Cessna?
There are inspection plates in the exhaust stream that could use some high temp type of seals.
Also gaskets for keeping exhaust out of the wheel well inspection panels. Boots for landing gear pushrods, elevator bobweight pushrod and other spots are also hard to find.
Seals for the forward upper access plate across the nose baggage. Trim actuator boots
The twin Cessnas have not really gotten the aftermarket products like the Cessna singles for some reason. RAM makes some things but mostly focused on the 414.

I would like to find some new center tabs for the fuel caps. The corners of the levers wear down and the only solution is new caps but they are getting hard to find and expensive.
The corners can be dressed a bit to keep them going but not much. If drawn in CAD the tabs maybe could be machined from aluminum. The originals appear to be some type of casting. Yes approvals I know.

There was a door strut company that made gas strut conversions for the baggage and cabin doors on the earlier 421 and other twin Cessnas. It was not Door Steward but Struts-R-Us. Has anyone continued those products to replace the early slide latches with the catch you need to release. (People seem to grab and force the originals which breaks the mounts and kinks the strut).

I flew a 421C and loved it. It's the one that Jimmy of Jimmy's World bought from the guy we sold it to.
The 421B is one of the best kept secrets in the Twin Cessna world. Relatively low purchase price, high payload, decent range (especially with long range tanks), reasonably fast, 75' and newer is FIKI capable, quit cabin, etc.
I've got a really well kept one for sale for a customer right now. If I didn't have my 414 (and an itch for another C model) I'd be writing a check today for it.

It's a very well maintained, squawk free airplane. If the owner has a squawk, he calls the shop on the field to come fix it.
I have a private link to all of the logbooks, status sheet, 337's, etc. I you would like access to it, PM or email me.

The 421 has no rival in the piston world, it's an amazing beast of an airplane.

I love my 421c. I have about 600 hours now and she has never let me down. What an amazing bird.
