Congrats and have fun! Drew's Law, "80% of us think we are in the top 20%." Rozendaal's Corollary, " The reality is that half of us are below average." If you can fly a T-6, well, from the backseat, you can fly pretty much anything with a propellor.

Curt and I don't need the practice leading (although we all took turns leading while I was there). I might be at Mason City to do some instruction and checkrides, but my 6 won't be there. I just flew that 1k miles home, I'm not flying it again to do a clinic. One of these days I'll take mine to Oshkosh, but after the last two days I don't want to think about another T-6 cross country for a while!

Congrats and have fun! One of my T-6 mentors often says "I always remind myself that I am landing a T-6". I try to do the same thing. It has humbled many of us and will continue that legacy I imagine.

I can fly the T6 from the backseat. Whether I fly it "well," I will leave others to judge. That thing is a beast, albeit a beautiful one. That said, I have a better understanding why so many kids were killed in WWII training accidents.

The little one got her first T6 ride today. Pretty great day. Attachment: PLLPE2098.JPG Edit for clarity, it may look inverted but I couldn’t do that since we didn’t have parachutes on. Strange clouds help make a cool shot.
