Hello everyone, I've been trying to talk my boss into getting a B200, however he seems dead set in a Cheyenne IIIA or 400ls and only takes the argument that it is better performance wise, so I wanted to see if anyone knows of any off market Cheyenne's for sale? and if anyone has experience maintaining one of these birds how their time with them was? My boss told me he only cares about speed and he can afford big maintenance bills (id still recommend he gets a b200 but he's the boss so I cant do a lot) The two for sale on controller he doesn't like, so I thought id ask here.

Thanks for reading fellow aviators :bud:

Big maintenance bills are ok. Speed is paramount. Hmmmm….why not a jet?

Yeah. Get an old Lear 35. If you need more range, get a 36.

I like your bosses style. Going slow is for the birds and King Airs :)

Or, go all the way to Citation X.

Talk to the shop you’ll use for maintenance. I was looking at one maintained by the same shop as my 421. He said parts are getting difficult to source. The down time could be months. Just like the 421.

I heard the same thing. Confucius says: a flying 172 is a lot faster than a Learjet sitting in the shop for six months.

But the Lear can spend money like you have it. And you will hear the mechanics broaden their vocabulary almost immediately!

Depending on what nation the OP is operating in, "maintenance" may not be a "problem".

Until it is.

Have owned a Cheyenne 400LS for 19 years now, we have not had any kind of parts issues. Its maintained by Friend Air Care (was Cheyenne Service Center) in Washingtion, PA for the past 16 years. Real good folks to work with.
