Learned something interesting today about Williams. A friend was looking at marrying a lousy airframe Sierra Stallion (with good motors) with a lousy motor Stallion with a good airframe. However, after contacting Williams, the program does not transfer with the motors so all that equity is lost.
Williams is the worst.

Question!
When you rent an engine is the rental rate by the hour or by the calendar number of days you have the engine?
You put 68 hours on the rental engine in how many days? Seems like you are flying a bit <grin>.

You put 68 hours on the rental engine in how many days? Seems like you are flying a bit <grin>. You pay your usual hourly program rate for the “rental” engine. So it costs you nothing additional.

Engine failure in a jet at altitude should be a non-event.......Get a cup of coffee and count to 10. The only emergency would be self induced .. IMO

Tom, Pratt has a schedule for the rental engine, which has a per hour charge with a monthly minimum. I had the rental engine four months. However, I don’t recall the rates, since I wasn’t paying for it. Allen is correct in that you continue to pay your program charges, even though you’re using their engine. I think I may need to delete the scheduled rental engine Glad the entire process worked as it should.
