This amazing picture was was posted to the POPA forum. Here was the story. Quote: I am not sure if any other PC-12 owners made eclipse flights, but here is a link to the 360 degree video taken from the cockpit of our flight. The video doesn't do justice to how dark things became. Of particular interest is the ATC audio stream... https://youtu.be/TyQbSGMGjKQEven more interesting is the attached picture -- a group of Polish Astronomers on the ground in Oregon took this picture from their camera array. One of their astronomers recognized the distinctive PC-12 shape and tracked the aircraft down using transponder data. They then contacted me from Poland and sent over this picture (low res copy). Being a photographer myself, the chances of planning something like this are nearly zero. Perhaps other PC-12 owners have their own stories to share. Attachment: IMG_7549.JPG

Outstanding picture! Quote: I am not sure if any other PC-12 owners made eclipse flights At least one other, it was at 17,500 and afterward flew to KBFI with flybys of Mt. St. Helens and Rainier. I was at a similar altitude and also flew back to Puget Sound so I kept an eye on it on my traffic display, we for sure weren't going to get flight following!
