Does anyone have a Cirrus in south Alabama, Florida panhandle or middle/west Tennessee? My dad is considering one and would like to take my mother and check one out. He would like to see how she can get in and out of it, how it would hold their bags, etc. He owns a '98 Saratoga II TC and is kicking around the idea of downsizing and likes the thought of the chute at their age. They have a beach home in Alabama and are there for the next week or so and will then be back in TN. Just let me know if anyone has one they would let us take a peek at. Thanks.

You would likely find many folks willing to help you out on the COPA forum (cirruspilots.org) The cost to join is $65 but would be the best way for him to get acquainted with the airplane. He's going to give up a lot of room and UL compared to the Saratoga but if it's just two of them most of the time, it's got plenty of room for 2 and bags.

Oh. I thought Cirrus Bum was a medical condition caused by sitting on those hard, uncomfortable 26g crash-rated Cirrus seats for too long. :D

Thanks,Don. His TC only has a useful of 1033. The newer ones are not carrying on the tradition of load haulers.

i got into aviation in 2009, have been flying weekly since i got my license, there's no way i'd spend my money on the certified world, but if i did, it would be a cirrus or a baron (mission dependent)

the van's community gains new members almost weekly, i think in 20years, you won't see the same aircraft in the skies as you see today, as many of the beech/mooney/cessna pilots get too old to fly

Cirrus is a great buy

I thought this was a thread about how ugly the jet is from a rear-quarter view angle
