Still, probably a useful experience just for trying some of these scenarios. I have had crummy experiences at simulator facilities. BUT I try to remind myself, if I pick up just one important thing at each training event, no matter how crummy the rest of the training may have been, the entire experience was worth it.

Spoilers have no adverse yaw and do not increase lift on a wing. So spoiler deflection won't stall a wing. Spoilers also remain effective all the way into deep stall. Ailerons end up being in the turbulent and sometimes reverse flowing air in a stall where they lose effectiveness. Note the tufts going backwards in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFcW5-1NP60Mike C.

Thanks for the vid. What Mike said. It's amazing how much control the spoilers enable in the stall. I find it amusing that people often talk about the spoilers as a 'problem' with the mu2 when they are one of its best features.
