Gulfstream announced the replacements for the G450 & G550 this morning, the G500 & G600. The new plane shares the fuselage cross section with the G650, resulting in a wider cabin. Looks like another beautiful plane I'll never own!

Congratulation to the team that's bringing this to market, including my daughter!

I already have a G600. Not sure what all the fuss is about

The G500 is quite popular as well.

Would of been hilarious for these airplanes to be equipped with the Garmin G5000 !

Ha Ha!

When I look at Gulftream's range numbers I am disappointed. The G600 has less range than the G550. The G500 has less range than the G450. The only difference I see is the undated avionics (including FBW), the wider cabin and the Pratt engines.

I will stick with my G550 thank you! ;)

G550 was the flagship when introduced correct? They're de-contenting the 600 to move people to the 650.

I don't think so.

G450 has 4300nm
new G500 has 5000nm

just to keep it honest :peace:

The Gulfstream wing is a thing of absolute beauty. No other bizjet has as sexy of wing as Gulfstream. The new landing gear configuration (trailing link) gives the airplane a modern appearance for airplane geeks like myself.

If I could somehow rationalize (trust me, I'm good at this) I'd go for 650. WTF?!?! only live one right?

I'm biased a bit: I prefer the Global 6000.

Bombardier has the lead now and Gulfstream is playing catch-up.

Up next: Global 7000

Bomb competes well on price, but not performance. Falcon always has done well on performance. Gulfstream is the gold standard for support. But now with the G650er Gulfsream is leaving bomb and dassault in the dust in performance. The g500 and g600 just pile on.

Of course, at this level the differences are pretty insignificant and really just bragging rights and ego driven.
