Congratulations on your new airplane. Every aviator needs a good taildragger... great psychotherapy, and almost as good as running away with all the real and imaginary Natashas that fire our male inner works. The interesting thing is that your airplane will remain a faithful and loyal companion as long as you keep it, never change its physical attributes, and rarely give you a heartache. (All of this is rationalization, as I do miss the young days). Best, TN

At your age can you still handle the negative G's?

Thank you, Gerald. I don't want to drift, and anything I say could be construed as bragging. There is something wonderful about seeing the world upside down just before sunrise... It also helps when one weighs 142# sopping wet, especially competing against the 220 pounders in the box. I couldn't do it on the gridiron so I took to the air. Best, Tom

The reason I ask is because I'm about to buy a '99 model and I have a fairly rough strip at my house. I had Alaskan Bushwheels on my Super Cub but I don't want to go down that road again. I'll check and see to. I'm building one now but I'm putting the 29" bush wheels and extended gear on mine. And your right, they're proud of there product but they sure look good. Rick

I've heard they are much larger then the J-3, and Husky's, but haven't read a comparison to ACA. Cheers Daryn, Adam, David and I did not fit in a Husky or super Cub. The Carbon cub has lots of room for tall people. Champion makes an adjustable seat for tall pilots, husky does not.

For any other west coast taildragger guys, the HighSierra fly-in is coming up Oct 10-12, I'm planning on taking the Champ up there with a buddy. You can register on backcountrypilot.org, which is basically BT for taildraggers. Looks pretty awesome: https://vimeo.com/78591342Thanks Adam.... I can hardly wait until its finished. Rick
