I am a retiring ophthalmologist and am selling color vision testing equipment that I used in practice for diagnosing medical conditions and as an FAA aeromedical examiner. I am aware the FAA has moved away from using these modalities but there may be a BTer who might be interested in them for whatever reason.
1. Farnsworth Lantern: in very good to excellent condition. The military and FAA used these for testing aviation applicants when the applicant did not meet criteria using PIP plates. The presentation lights illuminate when the button in the middle of the selctor knob is depressed. $500.00
2. H.R.R. Pseudoisochromatic Plates (PIP) and Daylight Presentation Illuminator with Easel: 2 sets of plates: one with a dust brush, one with color amsler grid plates both in excellent condition. Daylight illuminator is in excellent condition also. $500.00
Does not include shipping. Purchaser will pay for actual shipping costs for the shipper of their choice. I accept PayPal F&F, Zelle, and Venmo.

Until a year ago, I would have jumped on the Farnsworth lantern. That was so much better of an alternative than the new Waggoner $1500 iPad app that the FAA requires us to use now. I am tempted to get it just for the nostalgia.
Congratulations on your retirement!

John-
That's pricey unless you performing many of exams. I stopped in 2015 and never kept up with the testing standards.

Joe Joe, I was one of the first to sign up and got it for a monthly fee that is better than what I understand the up-front price is now. Only the pilots who have never had a medical need it so there isn't a lot of use for it. Thanks. John
