To all those who indulge in Cessnas from time to time, I upgraded my 185 to Quasar CX tips, so my RMDs are for sale. These are awesome wingtips that effectively double the amount of light you can project. I had AeroLEDs in them, but any PAR36 light should fit.

They will only fit Camber Cuff Cessnas (1973+ C185’s, not sure when others went to the Camber Cuff).

$1740 new, these are $1000 + shipping for the pair. I’ll even include the original Cessna strobe/nav lights, but the landing lights are long gone and are NOT included. You’ll also need to source your own c/b, switch and wiring.

For full disclosure, the strobes worked when removed, but I tested them while planning this ad and one of the strobes doesn’t, well, strobe. You can hear the capacitor charge, but in never flashes. No idea why.

The ‘Cessna’ font doesn’t match on the two tips. Never noticed until I took these pictures. Other than that, they are in excellent condition.

Just looked, and these fit the 172, 180, 182, 185 and 206.

I am considering installing the Quasar CX tips as well. Now that you have them, do you think they are worth the extra money over the RMD wing tips? Obviously the LED light that is installed in the RMD wing tip will determine the light out put.......

I could possibly be interested in these RMD tips. I’m in Southern California? Where are the tips located?

Where are you at? Is the STC generic or does it require a new permission letter from the STC holder?
