uAvioinix informed me that approval is expected early 2020 (Caution FAA timelines) and they are taking pre orders for the AV-30.

I have already ordered one for my aircraft and a few for local customers and I am really excited to install and sell these! The AV-30 embodies my mission to bring new affordable tech to our legacy aircraft that improve safety and reliability.

Yes they are expecting that early 2020 for the STEC AP's as well but it sounds like it may be after the initial approval. Everything is a guess with the FAA and timing...

That's the same price as on the manufacturer's website. (Which is the jacked up price post-Aerovonics sale.) What is the benefit from buying from a distributor?

You will have to contact uAvionix to confirm but I hear that they are going to honor that lower price for those who pre ordered with Aerovonics. Nobody likes a price increase including me but at $1995 it’s still a great price point.

Regarding not offering a discount uAvionix sets a price and requires its distributors to stick to it. We are not allowed to advertise a lower price you will see that even large resellers like Spruce don’t discount. You can contact me for details.

Jeff, you should order from whoever gives you the best customer service. I greatly appreciate all the Beechtalk subscribers that support my small business. I have had a deposit for two units for about six months (at the old price). After sending an inquiry shortly after the sale to uAvionix I received a personal response assuring me they would honor the old pricing for all those that placed a deposit in the past. My read is that uAvionix will take this product to a much higher level than AeroVonics was capable of. Certainly the autopilot interface will be coming. I am still very excited about this product.
