Upgraded to M-18 powered Sidewinder; items listed no longer needed.

M-28 drill, modified with pigtail to run off ship’s power (28V). M-28 battery not required in this configuration. User has the option to utilize either ship’s power or the M-28 battery. This drill has worked flawlessly for me.

Kind of on topic. What’s an M18 sidewinder and is it custom or does redline make it?

You can buy an M-18 Hole Hawg right angle drill, ship it to Redline and they’ll do the necessary modifications. Redline will ship it back to you with instructions on how to retrofit it onto your existing Sidewinder. There’s $$ involved, of course. And it’s a little bit of a project with the retrofit. Helps to have the right tools and some mechanical skills.

It’s my understanding that it works a bit better with heavier aircraft, like Barons and some Cessna twins. Seems to be the case (so far) in my experience with my Baron, especially with full fuel. I’ll reserve full judgement until I get a little more time with it, but I’m happy so far.
