Hi James,
Do you think the 15AMP SwitcheOn would work with the Aerotherm pre-heater?
Thanks

The Aerotherm website mentions in the FAQ section that the model I own draws 14-15 AMPS. Unfortunately, it does not specify Watts.

I received more SwitcheOns today, and have more arriving on Friday. All models to include remote and blade antennas are in stock and ready to ship. These work great with Tanis, Reiff, EZ Heat, and other padded engine block heaters. I had a user turn his engine heater on in the States from Japan. Multiple users can control a single box so they work well with flying clubs too. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/Sw ... _c_50.html <-- Link to website.

James, is it possible to convert my 2 channel Switcheon box to a 4 channel by adding power cords and possibly relays or could I even swap out the internals instead of buying a whole new box with a new subscription? -DJ

Ok, here’s my Switcheon user report:
Received my Switcheon from Santa (he knew I had wanted one for a while). I live about 15 miles from my hangar and it is a hassle to drive to the airport to plug in my heater when I want to go flying the next day and Especially a hassle when I want to fly later the same day and my engine has been cold-soaked. Driving to the airport to plug in the heater, back home to let it heat for a few hours then back the airport is a flight-killing hassle. The Switcheon has eliminated this problem—totally.
The unit was easy to setup—plug in, load the App from the App Store, read the QR code with my iPhone to get the iPhone communicating with the Switcheon. My only problem was Not reading the message on the LED correctly. The message said “may take 5 minutes to 8 hours to link up”. I read make take 5 to 8 minutes to link up. After a quick email to support, Sean cleared up the problem. I was up an running after a 20 minute wait.
I was planning a flight Tuesday morning and with overnight lows expected to be 25°, I wanted to heat my engine so I switched the Switcheon on. The green light on my app confirmed the heater was on—One trip to the Airport Saved!!! The next morning our sunny skies forecast had turned into 700 overcast so I wouldn’t be flying with the conditions not expected to change all day. I turned my heater Off from home—a Second trip to/from the airport saved!
I’m thoroughly pleased! Thank you Switcheon!
