It’s the power of eyeballs. Many, many eyeballs. I had a 2003 Subaru Outback I wanted to sell. I asked a friend about Craigslist vs. Facebook marketplace. She said “hands down” use Facebook. I did a decent listing with 12, or so pictures. In 16 hours I had 47 offers, of which the majority were local and serious. The other advantage of Facebook is it’s easy to track each buyer interaction. I picked the very first respondent with a full price offer and gave a deferral to the others. Of course, a Subaru is different than a Cessna or Beechcraft but I wouldn’t dismiss it as a sales channel.
