1943 N2S-5 Model 75 Stearman S/N 75-8438
N727A has many features one would look for in a Stearman. Jasco alternator, E80 Starter, Airwolf spin on oil filter, Redline disc brakes, Air Repair solid tailwheel, Dusters tailwheel spring strut, Concord battery, Brackett air filter. The airframe was recovered in Polyfiber/Polytone in 7-1995. AFTT 3037.6 Annual completed 6/02/2025. Airframe logbooks start in 1978.
Continental W670-6N S/N 16650 overhauled by Radial Engines Ltd in 5-1999. Non-roller rear bearing. TSMOH 378.6
Sensenich W98AA-66 Prop TT unknown
Avionics include Icom A200 radio, 2 place Soft comm PTT intercom, and Stratus transponder with ADSB In/out. Transponder tested 7/8/24. Cockpit 12v power.
The airplane is far from perfect, but lots of effort has been made to make it the best aircraft it can be. Maintenance since owned includes:
Air repair upgraded tach drive housing, replacement of rear tach cable and tachometer Installed new Concord RG35AXC battery Replacement of tailwheel mast, spline, and trunnion bushings Installed solid tailwheel and replaced main landing gear tires Installed complete set of NOS intake and exhaust rocker arms and new valve cover gaskets Replaced all spark plugs with new REM40E Overhauled Air Repair Right magneto New rear prop hub propeller cone Replaced all engine mounts with Yesteryear mount kit and new hardware New strainer to carb fuel hose and primer lines. New oil lines NOS rear cockpit compass and inclinometer New front and rear cockpit hooker harness set New brake linings
Asking price $110,000 OBO.
Engine and cockpit covers are included. The Aircraft has always been hangered and can be seen at KPOV. Headsets/helmets, battery tender, towbar are also available. Times subject to increase as the aircraft is flown regularly.
