Sew... This plane shows up on Facebook Marketplace for $150,000 (PENDING) by a guy named Jimmy Watkins in Bakersfield, CA https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 385456358/It looks like it was placed on an auction website last month... https://auction.aircraftbidder.com/List ... ils/754783This plane now gets posted on Beechtalk by a first poster named Yuhan Feng with the ad written by a guy named Andy in Henderson, NV.... Is this a case of someone who signs a LOI and then runs out and shops it to all the sites trying to make some quick scratch? Or a bogus post? Or people hiding their identity but really have a nice plane to sell? The shell-game doesn't seem to be a good fit for Beechtalk (not saying its illegal) but its seems most transactions here have always been the higher integrity type.. I am helping a friend navigate a Baron purchase FWIW.

I thought BT had rules regarding how many posts a newbie had to have before offering something up for sale. Has that been overturned with the new host?

Lance, We bought it from the previous owner you mentioned and once we decided to sell it, we tried to take a stab at the auction side of things. Funny enough, the only bid we received on the auction site was from a well known ABS mechanic that did the PPI for us when we bought the aircraft—so I think that speaks volumes as to its general condition. I see what you’re insinuating regarding “signs an LOI and then runs out…” , but had you continued your research you would have noted a change of ownership in March 2025 from the identical name as you saw on Facebook to another entity which is when my aircraft partner and I purchased it. One of us is an airline pilot, the other is a corporate pilot and together we have a Part 91 management business for corporate aircraft throughout the SW US and planned to use it to move pilots, parts for AOG aircraft, pleasure, etc. but after a few flights it became obvious that with an inflexible schedule we needed to have turbine power, air conditioning, pressurization and FIKI. We have a dry lease on a client’s M2 and we have returned to using that until we can free up hangar space for an early model Meridian. We felt that Beechtalk was the best place to sell a solid Baron but it seems that these 2 posts may have soured any potential interest and I am not a regular on here so wasn’t able to defend myself in a timely fashion.. Regardless, the aircraft is currently in escrow, pending PPI. I wasn’t born in the U.S. so I go by the name Andy as it is easier for native English speakers. Feel free to PM me if you have any further doubts or just look me up in the FAA pilot database using the same first and last name as my username. -Andy Username Protected wrote: Sew...
