Is this really a Lycoming powered Bonanza, or is that a typo?

Does the Lycoming make it experimental? What is the empty weight and CG with the engine mod?

I thought that was the 350 hp turbo version. A 285 hp NA 540 STC for a Bo is something I am not familiar with.

The cowl pictures don't appear to be a Lyc....note the alternator on the pax front side.

Pretty sure it's a typo, listing too many airplanes.

I am not sure, but I think the -U4A5 may be a typo as I couldn't find a reference to that model, but there is a 260 hp io-540-V4A5. FWIW, a quick google search did not come up with any 285 hp lycoming in a Bonanza other than this listing, although the google AI came up this highly accurate information:

"A "Lycoming IO-540 285" refers to a Lycoming IO-540 series aircraft engine that produces approximately 285 horsepower, commonly found in Beechcraft Bonanza airplanes, particularly the later models; essentially, it's the engine variant that delivers 285 horsepower within the wider family of Lycoming IO-540 engines used in Bonanzas."

Commonly? To quote the Princess Bride, I don't think that word means what Google thinks it does!

TYPO error.
Thats a Continental powered BO.
Front ALt, engine canted, no cowl bumps.
Machen did make a IO-540 conversion for he Bo's as will as the 350HP Turbo, just not as many of them.

Alternator on front of engine folks. Continental, don’t need valve cover pics.
