Remarks

You’re never hot or cold in this aircraft, very comfortable. ZERO corrosion. Did have a gear up 2014, expertly repaired and documented by Mountain Airframe LLC, Mena AR. Left Elevator damaged by shop during ’21 Annual Insp., elevator sent out to Biggs Aircraft, Inc., repaired, returned and reinstalled. Also due to personal preference, the parking brake is inop and I also keep the cowl flaps fixed at about 1/4 open due to an inop motor. Plenty of parts to make them operable (but on a 180hp TA quite unnecessary). Flys the magenta line coupled as good as my Airbus. Aircraft located at KFNT. Reason for sale: Aircraft is not FIKI.

What a great airplane, not to mention value. There is no more delightful light twin to fly. Passengers love the comfort as it is so much more quiet at cruise than a Baron. Michael’s TA is a beautiful late s/n example. GLWS

A nice Travel Air is a joy to fly. They feel “just right”.

I cannot believe that you didn't show off your Baron wingtip landing lights in your pics, Michael! That is a very unique and important feature on this one! :D Very few have that.

Sad to see you're selling... but I get it. Winters are limiting. I went to the TKS folks in KS about including the Model 95 about 10-15 years ago, but they'd been purchased by a large UK conglomerate and the new folks were much less interested (read: stonewalled) in adding more old piston twins to the STC. Best wishes in your selling. It's a beautiful and unique bird. Shouldn't have any problem if you move it before the fuel prices start coming down. What are you looking for now?

Cheers ~ Mark

Mark,

Yes, I guess I forgot about those landing lights. I'll update the add and get a photo!

Also, this aircraft also has the later type spar reinforcement doublers already done. These were done as an improvement, NOT because of a failed inspection or repair.

And, the prop times are SNEW.

If the shop that I'm thinking of did the maintenance on it, nothing would surprise me. You should see the list of problems we found on my Travel Air that they maintained for years and 414 that they did a few inspections on...

Those seals were on the airplane when I bought it in 2019 in TX. The airplane hasn’t been north of the Mason-Dixon Line since 2007. Most likely the seals were installed after the contemporary Baron paint job by Murmer, Conroe TX in 2012. Still looks great!
