Ok, so I am not a pilot or an owner....just a humble little technician.
Not sure how many other techs might be registered here....maybe I am alone.
I will try not to dumb-down your discussions, just wanted to say "Hey".

Username Protected wrote: Louis, you got something to add, you're in the club. Tell us more about your lil' ol' self. Well, you asked for it, so don't blame me. I am an AME and have an A&P. Knew I wanted to be in aviation since I was 7 yrs old...used to live close to a Bombardier plant in Toronto-(CYZD)...and saw many, many test flights of the Dash 7 (and then Dash 8). Attended Centennial College in Toronto; and after a 52 week long intense basic training gig, graduated in the summer of 1987. Was offered several jobs in Gen. Aviation-apprenticed at Ken Wilson Aircraft Sales & Service-Cessna Dealer at Buttonville Airport (CYKZ); just north of Toronto. Met some really cool ppl there...many of whom I still keep in touch with (and work with) to this day. Left aviation when the economy tanked in 1989...until "The Bug" bit me again...re-entered aviation-in the cool world of the corporate jet...doing contract grooming and then eventually maintenance...managed to get a job with a corporate operator of a Westwind (IAI 1124-S#:429)...then the Co. purchased a Canadair (Bombardier) 601-3R (S#: 5168)...Got the 1124 maintenance initial course, but did not get the 601-3R endorsement. Worked there-1994-2000. Got another golden opportunity to work for another company; maintaining a Gulfstream GIV-SP (S#: 1370) and a Beech Baron 58 (S#: TH-1600)....TA DAAHHH (the key to the Beech Talk Door)...worked there 2000-2008....which is when I took my current job...teaching aircraft maintenance to young (and older) students in Community College...Great gig; I recommend it to anyone...that is IF you can deal with all the other Faculty (yes, that was a DIG-Wes-kidding, of course). That is it...I look forward to a long and involved participation here at Beech Talk...I have participated in the past in the American Bonanza Society...but I am sure this group will probably be a better fit for me. Regards, Louis
