Started reading (lurking?) here a few years ago and posting recently, but never properly introduced myself or my airplane. See pics below of my 1965 35-C33 Debonair. Got a good buy on “The Deb” initially and got a good deal on a couple upgrades since. My avionics guy made me a deal on a G500 / GNS530W that I could not refuse. While he had the interior out, I cleaned 40 years of gunk from the belly, added SoundEx insulation from firewall to baggage bulkhead, nav blades, inertia reel shoulder harness, custom glare shield and new panel lighting. Refinished all the little parts along the way – arm rests, overhead console, mag switch cover, fuel selector cover, front wing spar cover…if it looked tired, I removed it, spruced it up and re-installed it. Recently added a three blade prop. Wow, so much smoother and better climb! So, now I have a very well appointed, nicely finished airplane that I am intimately familiar with, that I love, and (best of all!) my wife loves it too! Ray, Beautiful bird! And it sounds like you have uncovered the secret to eternal happiness,... Keep your wife happy! When she is a partner, instead of a critic, life is good. I had a neighbor that bought a Baron without any input from his wife, in fact, purchased it without even telling her.. He figured he would impress her with it's ability to go IFR to their hometown without the airlines. Unfortunately their first flight was on a, hot, bumpy, IFR day, the door popped open, and she got sick. Needless to say she never rode in it again, but she did ride his a$$ until he sold it. Congratulations to you, and your wife! John and Fran

As a SWMBO who just got her PPL I would encourage your wife to do the same. It is such fun. I am loving the transition to the Bo.
