Hey all,

I stumbled in here after searching for my Grandfather's Old M35 Bonanza (N322Y) on Google. When he was alive he flew it quite often from his home in Indianapolis (where I am now) to Florida and all over. I've always had an interest in flying and particularly in being a pilot myself.

Driving cars is my first passion, but it is increasingly difficult to "enjoy" driving anymore in the States as long as there are so many crazies out there. Air travel via extensive training and my own plane (hopefully a Beechcraft of some sorts) looks like the best method for curing my yearning to travel and go places whenever I want.

Currently in college at IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis) and will be finishing up this Fall. After starting my business I hope to begin lessons (hopefully within five years).

My biggest goal is of course to own a Twin Beech and perhaps something fun like a MiG. But like I said, cars are my thing. My all-time favorite is the McLaren F1 (from renowned the Formula1 manufacturer). Hopefully there are some other cars on here who can share my interests and link them with flying!

Thanks guys. I'm probably in the minority as being a non-flying, non-owning member - but I'm trying my best to get into the mindset of flying as well as taking in as much as I can from experienced owners and pilots.

If you want to see what some Beech Drivers drive to and from the hangar or from the Hangar to their girlfriend's house or wherever the spirit moves them, go to the topic Babble talk down the list of Forums and there is a thread there for cars among a lot of other stuff that this bunch likes. Personally I like a truck but my hangar holds in addtion to my BE58, a Ferrari 308GTB, an old Honda 550 Supersport, a BSA lighting and 3 boats of equal or older vintage. I said to someone the other day that I dont own anything much newer than 1977 because it has to run on lead free gas and you cant work on it yourself.

This is a great forum with a bunch of aviators from all sorts of walks of life and ambitions. Good luck in finishing school, starting your business and getting that license. There are all sorts of stories you can read in this forum. Just forget about the fact that many of us are a little older but maybe not wiser!! If we were so wise we would not spend fortunes on such great planes!!!
