Welcome Douglas. Sounds like you found a sweet, classic, low-time V tail.
My next door neighbor had an N with an IO-470-N and it was happy LOP. He had Gamis and a good engine monitor.

Post some pictures.

Welcome to The Bonanza Experience and BT.

That IO-470N is a well regarded and time proven engine that should serve you well.

N35 is a great model, and how sweet to find such a young airframe!

The IO470N has been known to have some that just don't run smooth LOP.
Mine does.
You may have to twaek a bit with the Gami's.
Make sure all intake couplings are tight.
Time it with a digital level, not off the alternator pulley.

There is a 100lb "paperwork" gross increase STC.

Doug,

Welcome to BT, I would recomend that you have your Beech 278 prop IRAN'ed insted of OH'ed. They are getting rare and many have been OH'ed many times and the blades are thin. I would use South Coast Propellor in Bessmer, AL ask for Jimmy Gaither. They will pick up and deliver in the south east. As to TBO on I just do not know mine had 1100 hours when I IRAN'ed it. OBTW when you do the prop send the bolts with it, to have them inspected and replated they are no longer aviliable HBC said they could make me a set but it would take 6 months and cost $600.00....

We here at BT love pictures so post some of your new Bo!!!
Jay
