Good day all,
Greetings from the Great White North.
I am not yet an owner, but am really sold on looking for an S35 to buy. I live in Okotoks Alberta at the "Okotoks Air Ranch" (CFX2). It's been nice having the airstrip/flight school right across the street from my house, but now it's time to take the plunge and buy my own. Renting planes has been convenient, but as you all know, when the weather is nice there is never a plane available. I have about 100hrs on my PPL and will be starting my IR once I get my own plane. The reason for wanting the S35 is that I would like a 6 passenger plane (for 4 passengers) to be able to take the family on vacations, the style, and obviously the speed and range. I work in the oilpatch in Northern Alberta on a 3 week on 1 week off schedule and will be able to fly to work (about a 500NM trip each way).
I hope to hear from you all and let you help me spend my money.
Bart

Bart,
Welcome to BeechTalk. We all love oil..

Check the useful loads of the S35's, and the weights of your 4 proposed passengers and their luggage... You may need a 36..?

Good to hear from you Bart!
Come on down to Medicine Hat (CYXH) for a cross country and I'll buy ya lunch!
Watch out for Suffield restricted area. PM me for contact info.
There may be a couple airplanes on the field for sale that may suit your needs, one is even a Beech.
