Hi All: I am Peter Perez and new to BeechTalk and other Beechcraft sites. I live in The Woodlands, Texas and fly out of David Wayne Hooks, KDWH. My log time is over 740 hours almost exclusively in Cessna 182’s including 200 hour retract and ~ 100 hours with a G1000. I am president of the 45 year old Southwest Flying Club, Houston, Texas, which is 47 members strong ( [Link]www.southwestflyingclub.com[/Link] ). We are a great group of pilots. For the past 6 months I have tried to find the “perfect” aircraft to purchase that fits my missions. The main missions are Grace Flights ( about 50% ) of my logged time and a plane large enough so my two yellow Labs can easily hop in. Plus, my wife, Ann, wanted something safe, fast and comfortable. We have a condo in Tampa so our longest flight will be about 850 miles… a one stopper. Before choosing the Bonanza I looked at the Piper Matrix, Cherokee Six, and Saratoga. I want to stick to a single engine aircraft. I, of course, chose the Bonanza which fits all my missions in a luxurious fashion. My wife, who hates to fly, loves the Baby B. Today I ordered a Bonanza G36 to be delivered in late September. This is a dream come true for me… or for any pilot that I have ever known. We are flying to the Beech plant in Wichita Tuesday May 24th to pick the interior and exterior. Should be a real experience.. During the coming months I will follow the entire process and blog it for anyone interested. Will advise where. If anyone has any thoughts let me know. I should be able to use BeechTalk and also [Link]www.blogger.com[/Link]. Till then…. Fly safely Peter posting.php?mode=post&f=33#

Welcome Peter! I flew into Hooks a couple of months ago to visit several clients based on the field - really neat airport and I like the little seaplane landing strip them have sandwiched between a runway and taxiway! You don't see that too often.....You will love the G36.
