Welcome, Mike! Best of luck on a smooth pre-buy/purchase. I'm sure the picture hounds around here would be happy to offer their insight if you care to post pictures of your intended

Thanks Drew!
The only pics I had of the outside were on ASO and as soon as I sent them a pre purchase agreement, they pulled it off the website (Drats!).
They are sending me some tomorrow for the bank, so I will get them posted.
She's pretty sweet though and overall a great plane if she checks out in the pre-buy....no reason to think she won't after talking to the mechanic that's taken care of her for the last 20 years.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
Mike

Welcome, Mike.

Yeah, the crowd is pretty insistent on pics.
We also like reports about the first trip home. :pilot:

On the other hand, you'll find a great wealth of knowledge and folks willing to share it.

Best of luck with the pre-buy.

Thanks to all of you!
I live in Temperance, Michigan and I will keep her at Suburban Airport, or possibly Adrian, not sure which one right now.

Going to have the folks in Wichita do the annual (up in May) and possibly add a dual yolk before I go get her. I plan to get my IFR with her and although I am hearing how sweet the single yolk is, I am thinking a dual yolk will serve me better in the long run. Any thoughts before I spend the extra 3 grand?

I am so pumped about all of this, I can't sit still or sleep.

Mike

Welcome Mike.

Sounds like you are in for a great adventure. That flight back will be a super learning experience. I'd suggest you get a BPPP instructor to assist, or a really experienced one. It sure made a difference when I brought mine back from Denton Texas. In the clouds, into midway...

Looking for a trip report of course, good luck your gonna love it!

Hang on to your single. You may want to go back to it someday.

Congratulations!

Robert

AOK on holding on to the single yolk...
I agree and think I will go back to it once I am confident in the Deb, got my IFR and ready to cruise the beautiful US of A!
Thanks to all of you for welcoming me to BeechTalk.
I guarantee a trip report and pictures as the adventure unfolds.

Greg,
Thanks for the welcome. I can't hardly wait to get the Debonair picked up and brought home.
I will get a picture of her out to all of you as soon as possible.
Mike

Thanks Glenn!
Coincidentally, my wife's name is Debbie! This will come in handy when I talk in my sleep!
She won't be the wiser!
Thanks!

I suggest you rent a dual yoke for your checkout and fly with it for a bit before deciding to buy one. If I had a Bonanza I'd stay with a single yoke and if they ever get around to changing the rules to allow simulated instrument flight in a twin I'll get one for the Baron.
