Moving down from a Piper Meridian. I will miss the turbine but my mission and typical flight is well served by a Bonanza. I'm blown away by the this little elegant airplane.

I'm getting a G36 with only about 100 hrs tt. Going back to a piston has me a tad nervous but mostly excited. I've been flying Avidyne in the Meridian. I have about 500 hrs G1000 but it's been over 2 yrs so I'm sure there will be an adjustment. That said, I had 430's in the Meridian.

I found my Welsh blood giving me guilt burning 40+ gph and therefore not flying as frequently as I wanted. Although I'm loosing 90 to 100kts speed, it's not a big deal on 300 mile trips.

Gilbert, been there, done that, went from a 2006 Meridian (N600YE) to an A36 (N7BW),world of difference between FL280 at 260 and 8,000,at 165,different kind of flying,,,but it works (and leaves more money in your pocket)

Based in Atlanta, IFR flying routinely keeps me low and indirect initially.
