Hi All,
I'm an MIT student and private pilot working on my instrument rating at KBED outside of Boston. I'm a huge fan of the Beechcraft line and aspire to own a Bo or Baron someday. If any local pilots are looking for a safety pilot, plane-wash assistant/gofer, or anything else - feel free to drop a line. I enjoy browsing BT and living vicariously through your Beechcraft ownership.
I'll be in Connecticut this summer, hopefully figuring out a good place to rent at BDR, OXC, MMK, or HVN.

Hi Charlie, Welcome to BeechTalk and congrats on your aspirations to own a Beechcraft someday. I'm reasonably sure that with such a fine education, you'll be flying one of our planes some day down the line. Heck, I only went to RPI  and I was able to realize my dream of owning a Beechcraft  (couldn't resist the tech school rivalry/humor). ABS has an Ambassador program and maybe you can link up with an Ambassador in your area for a ride or spot flying trips or "hangar" flying. Also the NE Bonanza Group is a pretty active bunch. I'm not active in the MIT flying club - it seemed rather disorganized when I first got here though it seems to be picking up some steam again and an alum just donated a C150 or 152.
