Absolutely gorgeous, but then I may be somewhat biased. Nothing prettier than a nice V and wow what a trip. I was in Merridian, MS refueling the end of August parked next to an F18 (sorta V Tail) painted agressor blue (like ours) and i couldn't tell which was better looking. A lot of ramp presence that day.
Good luck, Burns

+1 for the TC! Any plans to run in LOP? Mine really loves the 15-16K region, running LOP. . 14.5-15.5 gph depending on temps. . Smooth, high, lots of directs. . i absolutely LOVE my TC! Can we get more performance details. . what MP/RPM/FF settings were you using. . any issues? what were the engine temps? Gorgeous and practical interior, a very functional IFR panel. . Hopefully you'll love yours as much as I love mine!

Brandon...I love it so far. It's just the right step from my Six. It runs like a champ...very fast. I just need to learn to run it smartly. I was running safe....28" 2,500 rpms and about 18 gph....and truing around 190kts at 16-19K ft. We were seeing 190-217kts on the gps. the whole way from Bend Oregon till bout Kansas....then once on the backside of a high pressure system it went down hill from there....and we began seeing wind. Had to go lower and were seeing bout 170-180kts on the ground. Couple of things to digest. ....Hot starts? ....and How do you run yours at altitude LOP? A buddy of mine is hiring a fella from TCM engineering....I figure I'll just go have lunch with him and see what they do in the test chamber. I'll take all and any advice you have for a newbe....TSIO-520D driver. Username Protected wrote: +1 for the TC! Any plans to run in LOP? Rick, That's great. . I'm stoked you're so happy with your new baby! To address your questions: 1. Hot starts - I just do a normal start. . I prime with throttle and mixture full forward until my fuel flow spikes. . then I crank the starter and feed throttle slowly. . I hold the button on the vernier and push it untill it catches. . And that's exactly what I do for a normal start. Hasn't failed me yet. 2. LOP Ops. . so much to read and understand. I started with John Deakin's "Pelican's Perch" articles on AvWeb. . .But there is now so much information on Beechtalk that you can get a solid base. Finally, you really SHOULD take the APS course. . http://www.avweb.com/news/pelican/182102-1.html
