Try Cruiseair Aviation in Ramona for dual yokes. 760-789-8020 cruiseairrick@sbcglobal.net

If Cruiseair doesn't have one go to the ABS website and look in classifieds. There always seems to be 2 or 3 sources for a twin yoke.

There's also an FAA provision for receiving instruction in your" Single Yoke Bo ". This too can be found on the ABS website.

Welcome

This might help.....

Welcome onboard Gary,
I'll second the vote to read "Flying the Beech Bonanza".
Have a notepad with you and take notes. Many recomendations are made for evaluation in your aircraft. After a month, you'll find you want to reread it.

As far as a yoke, ABS is good and cruise Ebay. I found mine there

Just joined and am better pilot (I hope) than computer geek so may not be doing this right. Anyway, here's by back ground. Am unemployed/retired senior citizen on fixed income living in Sioux Falls, SD flying out of Y14. Been flying for 50 years with last 25 mostly in Beechcraft. Have owned 5 Bonanzas with last being 1980 A36 which I sold when I sold my busiiness in 2008 and figured I could get by flyinig LSA's and going out to pasture. Bought a neat Czech Sport Cruiser which is great plane, but can't compare to Beech so repented and just bought a 1976 V35B N641G, with 2600 TT and 500 on IO-550 conversion. Just back from 16 hour flight to Florida and is great to be back in the the world's best airplane. Will send pix later when figure out how to do it. Have been ABS member for long time and sounds like this is also is a great group. Arnie

Welcome aboard BT and back into the Beech fold. Posting pictures is a requirement here :D and it's easy. When you compose or edit a post there's a section below the post text box with a blue title bar that says "Upload attachment". In there you'll find a box in which you can enter the location of a picture on your computer (the browse button opens a file dialog box so you can just pick the file from a list). Once you have a valid filename in that box, click on the "Add the file" button just below the "Browse" button. It's better to reduce the size of any large files using something like Pixresizer.
Ideal picture dimensions are in the 640x480 region.

When you click the Add file button the picture will be copied to the forum server and a link to it will be placed in your post. At that point you have the option of clicking the "Place inline" button located just below your post text edit window and doing so will make the picture rather than the link appear in the post once you submit it. Clicking on the Preview button before submitting (next to "Submit") will let you see what it will look like once you submit it to the forum.

Arnie! Cool, I'm in Orange City, KORC only a few minutes away. There's another guy on here, John Bailey who is based at Y14 with a Bo. We should get together sometime and do some flying. :woot:

Hi Fellow Aviators,

My name is Jeff Pooler from Durban, South Africa, flying Boeing 777s for a major Asian flag carrier. While I spend my working life at M0.85 at 35,000', I truly miss flying GA airplanes and have a very real dream of owning a Bonanza in the next few years.

Having extensively researched the various Beech products, I have decided that the B36TC would be the most ideal airplane for my typical mission profile of flying my family around South Africa. While I have considered the B58 (I need a six-place airplane), I cannot justify the operating costs of a twin.

With the GA market significantly smaller in SA than it is the US, I would source my dream airplane in the USA and ferry it home - another aviation dream I wish to fulfil!

I look forward to regularly browsing this wonderful website and learning more from the members and Beechcraft owners out there.

Fly safe and best regards,

Jeff Pooler.

Jeff,

Welcome aboard BT. I'm glad to see a South African join our group. I lived in South Africa from 1980 to 1984 in a town about 50 km east of Pretoria. I met and married my wife who was born and raised in Bronkhorstspruit, TVL. I've hunted all over Southern Africa with my father and brother-in-law. I always wanted to fly my Baron to SA and planned several different routings in the past. I talked to several pilots that had made the trip with and without ferry tanks. The loss of my wife and mother-in-law in a car accident in JoBurg plus the cost of fuel and political unrest on the continent put this trip on the back burner. If I can be of any help to you in locating your dream aircraft here in the U.S. just send me an e-mail. I travel to SA fairly often to visit and hunt with my relatives. Next trip down I'll give you a call

Hi Arnie:

Welcome aboard, and I'm glad you picked up that Bo. Call me sometime when you're going to the hangar.

Afternoon, BT’ers.

I’ve been around since late November when I discovered BT while looking for a plane. I could have introduced myself then, but the title is “…and your plane”.

Myself: I’ve been married for 20 some-odd years to my best friend, Wendy (a few not-so-odd). We have a son, Kolby, who is 23. A daughter Alex, 21, and a daughter Keely, 19. And we up and adopted a little fella, Jayce, almost 4 years ago, who is almost… 4.

Wendy does NOT enjoy flying. She's been on ONE trip and on the way back, it was dark. She said she liked the night better because she couldn't see the ground. I did not try to explain why that's not necessarily a good thing....

We thoroughly enjoy family. Games & sports are big. Both girls were athletes – basketball, volleyball, softball, cheerleading, etc. I loved going to NCAA basketball and softball championships with the girls! Keely was offered scholarships, but just wanted to be a student for once.

I’m fighting myself on not writing copious amounts about the kids – they are, after all, spectacular! I will say only the following: Alex is a junior at Midwestern, majoring in Elementary Ed. Her and her husband recently found out that we are going to be grandparents (July 30ish). Keely is a freshman at Angelo State and has chosen to be an RA this year (she LOVES it!) – She majors in Accounting. Jayce is everywhere and very difficult to stay up with.

I’ve tried to incorporate planes into family pictures, but Keely doesn’t like to fly and I have only one really bad picture in the old 182. So she gets a picture I happened to have on this computer from last year. The rest have planes. (Due to the 5 picture limit, the new BO goes on the next post.)

I took my first intro flight in May of ’07. Passed check ride in July (12 weeks later). As soon as I discovered I really could land the plane by myself (solo), I bought an old 182d (1961 model). It was a good old plane and looked nice from a distance. However, much evidence of hail garnered her the name “Titleist”.

The VAST majority of my flying is business – to preview job sites, check on job progress, bid lettings, meetings, etc. It truly is an asset to business. After determining how much of a benefit flying was, the following January, I bought a 2000 182s (seen in the above family pictures).

I PASSED MY IFR WRITTEN LAST SUNDAY!!!

Now for the new plane:

I sold my ’00 182 in November unexpectedly fast – 5 days! Unexpected because the last plane took a year to sell and had 1,300+ hours on the engine and was $26k over vref retail. Fortunately, a democrat senator bought it (although, disappointingly, a Republican senator is not much better these days), and value doesn’t seem to matter so much. But he’s a nice guy and I wish him the best! In fact, he just soloed a couple weeks ago.

Back to the unexpected – I hadn’t begun to look because I didn’t think I needed to for a while – thought I’d be sitting on the 182 for a while. Due to a very uncomfortable incident somewhere over Lampasas late one night, I had decided to go to a twin when my 182 sold. I hadn’t checked with insurance, but it turns out my insurance peeps were not a fan – no retract or twin time. So I narrowed down my best fit to a Bonanza with a great big engine monitor for advance notice of impending doom.

Max Grogan gets credit for finding/pointing her out to me. Randy Africano gets credit for making her so pretty (he sold it to a VERY nice doctor about 3 years ago). I get credit for recognizing the opportunity!

The aforementioned big engine monitor (JPI 930) and Aspen 1000 Pro go in on March 8th.

I would NOT have bought this plane if it wasn’t for BT. For my experience in transitioning, you can see:

Without further delay…

And just cause I got one picture left out of the five I can post, I can't help ending with my girls:

Welcome Gents!

And Nate, we may be neighbors ot at least in the same Lone Star State! This Texas Beechcraft bunch is a real fun crowd and we are all fond of impromptu gatherings for cheap gas and BBQ. If you are ever in the Denton (KDTO) area feel free to PM me and see if I'm around to join you.

Rudy's just down from KDTO is awesome
