Hi everyone! I'm not yet a Beech owner, in fact I don't even have pilot certificate yet! But I just can't stop dreaming that one day, this will be me: I joined BeechTalk in the hopes of learning from the community about what it takes to become a pilot and to one day fly the Baron G58 in the picture above. I can't really explain why I want to fly, or why that plane in particular, but I think that most -- if not all -- of you must know the feeling that says "I need to do that one day". So, being the type of guy who likes to learn everything he can about a subject before leaping in, here I am, looking to learn from all of you. About me, I'm an American living in Paris, France. My beautiful French wife brought me over here about 6 years ago and I've hung around ever since. I currently work as an environmental consultant, helping governments and companies better understand their environmental impact and what can be done to reduce it. That said, I'm currently in the process of setting up my own company (online publishing) that will hopefully get me a few steps closer to the image above. I'm happy to be a member of the community, and am looking forward to our future discussions!

Wow, thanks to all of you for the incredible welcome! Some quick replies: Larry, Jason, Greg: I intend to start the PPL process when I'm back in the US (hopefully soon). Definitely easier to do it on "home turf". Gilles: Some things are not to be shared... Neal: By all means! I don't yet have any firm plans to by in the NYC area, but as soon as I do, you can expect a call! Once again, thanks to all of you for the welcome, I look forward to getting further engaged with the community!
